Frank J. Crudo

Frank J. Crudo, born on October 6, 1953, in Detroit, Michigan, left this world unexpectedly on July 23, 2026. While his departure comes as a shock to all who knew and cherished him, the legacy Frank built throughout his life will live on in the hearts and memories of those he held dear.

Frank was a steadfast presence in both his family and his community. He spent an impressive 45 years working at Ford Motor Company as an electrical engineer, where his expertise and dedication left an indelible mark on colleagues and friends alike. Through hard work and determination, Frank earned his Master’s Degree, reflecting his lifelong commitment to learning and personal growth.

Yet, for Frank, his proudest accomplishment was always his family. He was a devoted husband of 42 years to Susan Crudo, whose love and companionship were the joys of his life. Their years together were rich with shared experiences, laughter, and support—never more so than during their treasured winters spent together in Naples, Florida, a tradition that filled his heart with warmth and happiness.

As a father, Frank was a guiding light for his two sons, Nicholas Crudo (Nicole Klingler) and Matthew Crudo. He led by example, encouraging them to pursue their dreams while offering unwavering support and wisdom. The depth of his pride and love for his family was evident to all who knew him.

Frank’s deep sense of family also included his sister, Angela Perkins (Richard Fadoir), with whom he shared a lifelong bond, as well as his niece Amanda Perkins and nephew Bryan Perkins, who will deeply miss his kindness and generous spirit. Though predeceased by his beloved parents, Giuseppe and Filomena Crudo, Frank carried their memory forward, honoring them through his actions and values.

Beyond his work and family, Frank filled his days with passion and curiosity. He was a train enthusiast, captivated by the intricacies and history of locomotives, and he found both peace and adventure in boating and traveling. These hobbies brought him joy and provided him with opportunities to connect with friends old and new, enriching his already vibrant life.

Frank’s unexpected passing leaves a profound emptiness in the lives of those who loved him. But even in grief, there is comfort in the countless memories he leaves behind—the steady hand, the warm smile, the laughter shared over a meal, the quiet encouragement in difficult times. His legacy is one of integrity, devotion, and love. More than all, Frank was an outstanding father and his sons were truly the light of his life. He will be forever missed.

Family and friends will gather to honor Frank’s memory and celebrate a life lived with purpose. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, August 8, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Trenton Chapel of the Martenson Family of Funeral Homes located at 3200 West Road, 48183. The memorial service will take place that same evening at 6:00 p.m.

Though Frank J. Crudo’s journey ended suddenly, the love he gave and the relationships he nurtured will endure. May those who grieve his passing find solace in remembering his generosity, his gentle strength, and the ways he made this world a brighter, more loving place.
