Gabriele Eva "Gabi" Wallace

On February 3, 2023, Gabriele Wallace, know to all as Gabi, (like Bobby but with a G), passed away peacefully at her home at the age of 86. Gabi was proceeded in death by her husband Fay Wallace and survived by her children Pete (Suzanne) Wallace, Brent (Suzanne) Wallace, Allyson (Patrick) Zanetti, her sister Edith (Martin) Ganslmeier, and grandchildren Matthew, Jane, Reid, Beth, Hilary, Lisa, and Steven along with six great-grandchildren. Gabi was born in Liegnitz, Germany and leaves behind many German relatives who loved to chat with her on the phone. Although Gabi’s childhood was tumultuous due to war, Gabi remained steadfast in her strength and positive attitude. Gabi was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed nature, gardening, reading, organizing her home, listening to Andre Rieu, knitting washcloths that she gladly gave away, and thoroughly took delight in a good cup of coffee and a slice of pie while talking with her cherished neighbors. All will forever remember her call of “You Whooo” and willingness to provide an encouraging opinion. She will be greatly missed, but would say when someone is feeling down about her passing to “get on your horse” and remember her with smiles and laughter.
