Garrett Siffer of Ida Michigan was only 18 years old when his life was taken far too soon on October 15th, 2026. Although his time here was far too short, the impact he made on the people around him will live on forever.
Born on November 16th, 2007, Garrett was the life of the party, blessed with a sense of humor that could bring laughter to any room. He had a way of making people smile and turning any ordinary day into a memory that will last a lifetime. His presence brought an unmistakable energy to the lives of those who knew him, and his absence leaves a heartbreak that words cannot ever express.
Garrett had a love for the outdoors and the freedom that came with it. He loved fishing, riding dirt bikes, and taking his Harley out on the road. He was passionate about anything that had an engine and wheels. If he could drive it, he would. With Garrett around, there was never a dull moment. He could put a smile on anyone’s face. These were some of the things that made Garrett who he was, reflecting his adventurous spirit and his love for living life his own way.
Above all, Garrett was a beloved son and brother. To his siblings, he was someone who loved deeply and protected fiercely. He made sure they knew they were loved, and that love is something they will carry with them for the rest of their lives. The bond they shared is one that death cannot erase. Although they must now face a world without him physically by their side, they will forever hold onto the memories they made, and the comfort of knowing they were loved by their brother.
Garrett leaves behind his loving parents, Laura Siffer and Martin Siffer, and his three siblings, Jarrod Short, Jaccob Short, and Gabrielle Siffer. He also leaves behind many family members and friends whose lives were made brighter simply because they knew him.
18 years was not enough. There were still so many memories to make, so many adventures to take, and so much life left for Garrett to live. His family and friends are left to grieve not only the person they lost, but also the years they should have had with him and all the moments they will never get to share.
Garrett will be remembered for his laughter, his adventurous spirit, his love for his family, and the joy he brought into the lives of others. He may no longer be here for his family to see, hear, or hold, but the love he gave them will remain. He will live on in the stories told about him, the memories shared among those who loved him, and the laughter that will forever remind them of the boy who could light up a room.
There were so many more miles left for you to ride and so many more memories left for us to make. We will carry you in our hearts for every mile of the journey ahead. Ride free, Garrett.
