Gary "Pa G" Navarre

Gary “Pa G” Navarre, passed away Monday, January 14, 2019 in his home. Born February 5, 1947 in Monroe, Gary was the son of Earl and Luella (Hotchkiss) Navarre. After graduating from Catholic Central High School in 1965 he continued his education at Monroe County Community College and then Michigan State University. Gary married the love of his life, Terry Aldridge, on April 23, 1966 here in Monroe. That same year he started his employment with Ford Motor Company, retiring in 2005 as a Tool and Die Maker. A faithful member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Gary had been a member of the Knights of Columbus and Loyal Order of the Moose. He enjoyed collecting Lawn Gnomes, Playing Billiards and riding his Motor Bike, but his most cherished times were those spent with his family. Gary leaves to cherish his memory, Terry, his wife of the past 52 years; a son Gary Navarre of Luna Pier; two granddaughters: Kacy (Joe) Christopher of Newport and Karen (Matt) Nemeth of Monroe; three great grandchildren: Brenden Christopher, Kennedy Christopher and Cameron Chirstopher; as well as two brothers: Wayne (Renee) Navarre of Monroe and Dean Navarre of Lansing. Sadly he was preceded in death by his parents; a son Jamey Navarre and an adopted son Jamey Navarre. In accordance with Gary’s wishes, cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Allore Chapel-Martenson Family of Funeral Homes. There will be a rosary on Monday, January 28, 2019 at 10:30am followed by a mass at 11:00am at the K of C Hall in Monroe.
