Gary Michael Pizzini, a Husband, Father, Papa, Brother, Uncle, Master Brick Layer, and cherished member of his community, passed away on January 16, 2026, just days shy of his 80th birthday. Born on January 19, 1946, in Detroit, Michigan, Gary’s life was characterized by hard work and a passion for the outdoors.
As a self-employed craftsman, Gary built a reputation as a Master Brick Layer, demonstrating exceptional skill and craftsmanship that underscored his commitment to quality in his work. His lifelong dedication to his trade was an inspiration to many who sought to follow in his footsteps.
In addition to his professional achievements, Gary was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting and sporting clays. His love for adventure extended into the skies as an RC Aircraft Pilot, where he found joy in the precision and tranquility of flying model aircraft. These hobbies not only brought him personal fulfillment but also allowed him to forge lifelong friendships with fellow enthusiasts.
Gary was a life-long member of the Jones Council Knights of Columbus, an organization he valued for its fellowship and commitment to faith.
He is survived by his two sons, Anthony (Leanne) Pizzini and Bryon (Sarah) Pizzini, along with his loving grandchildren, Holly Pizzini and Marcus Pizzini, who were a constant source of pride and joy in his life. Gary is also survived by his mother, Frances Pizzini, and his brother, Ernie (Mary) Pizzini, his sister-in-law, Nancy Pizzini as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends who will cherish the memories they shared with him.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 56 years, Shirley (Mehrhof) Pizzini, who was his partner and support throughout their journey together. He is also preceded in death by his father, Fabian Pizzini, and his late brother, Frank Pizzini.
Gary will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends.
