George V Adam 88, passed away peacefully in Baytown TX on Wednesday August 27th 2025. George was born on May 14.1937 to Clarence Adam and Mary (Taylor) Adam in Detroit, Michigan. George lived his life in Michigan and had recently moved to Texas to be closer to family. He was a resident of The Lodge at Pine Creek during his residence in Texas.
Prior to retiring, George worked at Detroit Edison in operations at the Trenton Channel Power Plant. He volunteered at Green Field Village participating in reenactments and worked with the steam engines. Earlier in his career he was a volunteer firefighter for the City of Riverview, Mich.
George enjoyed working in his yard, gardening and being a handyman around the house. He enjoyed wood working, model HO scale trains, steam locomotives and collecting Department 56 Dickens Village collectables. George enjoyed the outdoors, he would hunt up north, he also golfed and in younger days played hockey. George loved his dogs, Candy, Diego and Tiny.
George is proceeded in death by his parents, brother William Adam, wife Joy M Adam and daughter Julie M Abraham. He is survived by his children Georgiana M Bighorse (Peet), John F Adam, Donna M Law (James) Thomas W Adam (Ora) Sister Kathleen Spencer. Grandchildren Eric Law, Jessica Bighorse, Courtney Bighorse, Brian Law, Andrew Adam, Jordan Abraham, Madisyn Abraham, Kattiya Thongborisute, 3 -Great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Saturday October 25th at St. Roch Church Flat Rock, Michigan.
Visitation at St. Roch from 10:30am to 11:00am
Mass to follow at 11:00am
