Gerald "Jerry" Ford, a cherished member of his family and community, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on August 25, 2025, in Trenton, MI. Born on August 15, 1942, in Ecorse, MI, Jerry dedicated his life to his family and passions, leaving behind a legacy that will be fondly remembered by many.
He was a devoted husband to Patricia (DeVine) Ford and a loving father to his four daughters: Beth (Neal) Fitzgerald, Kathy (Ken) Stuart, MaryPat Ford, and Julie (Brook) Kress. Jerry took immense pride in being the center of his all-girl family. He delighted in the joy of his six granddaughters—Andrea (Brian) Guider, Lindsay (Ben) Fitzgerald, Chelsea and Lisa Stuart, Mackenzie and Addison Kress—and his two great-granddaughters, Kennedy and Emerson Guider.
Jerry had a lifelong love for sports of all kinds. Whether it was golf, watching a game, or simply staying active. He also enjoyed gardening, tending to his plants with care and often sharing the fruits of his labor with family and friends.
Known for his sense of humor, kind heart, and welcoming spirit, Jerry never met a stranger. He had a gift for making people feel at ease and was always ready to share a smile, a laugh, or a helping hand.
Jerry Ford’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and devotion. His absence will be felt deeply, but the memories he created and the example he set will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
