Geraldine A. Drewyour, affectionately known as Gerry, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2026, in Trenton, Michigan. Born on July 22, 1936, in Ecorse, Michigan, she lived a life marked by dedication, hard work, and devotion to family and community.
Gerry graduated as Valedictorian, a testament to her intelligence and commitment to excellence that would characterize her life's journey. Early in her career, she contributed her skills to Kelly Services and Ford Motor Company, later devoting over 20 years to FritoLay, from which she retired, leaving behind a legacy of professionalism and integrity.
In her personal life, Geraldine was united in marriage to her late husband Paul D. Drewyour for 57 cherished years. She was the beloved daughter of the late Thomas and Rozalia Berwick and sister to the late Rose Marie Purdum Shade, Joanne Roberts, and William Berwick.
Gerry’s legacy continues through her family who survive her and honor her memory. She is lovingly remembered by her son Paul (Elise) Drewyour Jr., her daughter Teresa (Joseph) Sencey, and her son Michael (Jennifer) Drewyour. She took great pride and joy in her many grandchildren: Joseph (Shelby) Sencey, Steven (Stephanie) Sencey, Caitlyn (Rob) Galliher, Lindsey (Scorpio) Suvada, Allison (Travis) Simpson, Michael Drewyour Jr., Madison Drewyour, Lauren (Patrick) Kraatz, Anthony Clement, and Timothy Clement. Her love extended warmly to her great-grandchildren: Emma, Luke, and Nikolai Suvada; Summer and Sawyer Sencey; Milo Galliher; and Brayden and Easton Hass. Each carries a piece of Gerry’s strength, kindness, and spirit.
A funeral mass in honor of her life will be held on May 26, 2026, at St. Cyprian Catholic Church, located at 13249 Pennsylvania Road, Riverview, Michigan. The gathering will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass at 10:30 a.m.
Geraldine lived a full and accomplished life marked by grace and perseverance. She leaves behind a profound legacy of love and dedication to all who knew her. Her memory will continue to inspire and remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
