Glenn M. Miller

Glenn M. Miller, 52 of Monroe, passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017 at his home. Born April 12, 1965 in Wayne Michigan to Dale and Barbara (Jung) Miller. Glenn served in the United States Marine Corps from 1982-1990. He married MaryAnn VanStone September 6, 1999 in Monroe, MI. Glenn worked for 20 years at Meijer Warehouse, then for Pro Trans for 4 years and currently was employed at Ford Assembly Plant in Flat Rock for the last 2 years. Glenn absolutely adored his grandchildren and loved spending time with them. He was a sports enthusiast and especially loved U of M, Detroit Lions and the Detroit Tigers. An ordained minister, he loved to entertain, cook and tell jokes. Glenn leaves to cherish his memory his wife MaryAnn Miller of Monroe; his children Joe (Lindsay) Taormina of Monroe, Stephanie (Christopher) Oliver of Canton, Jennifer (Chad) Mosher of Monroe and Mitch (Lauren) Miller of Canton; his grandchildren Kierstyn, Alex, Kaylene, Giovanni, Ava, Brady, Finley, Preston, Adelynn, Zoey and Roman; and his siblings Gayle Piwowar of Canton and Donald (Lee) Miller of Traverse City. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents Dale and Barbara Miller. Friends may call Wednesday from 1-8pm at The Allore Funeral Home, 203 E. Elm Ave., Monroe. Funeral service will take place Thursday 12noon at the funeral home with burial following at St. Joseph Cemetery, Monroe. Tracy M. Esper will officiate and military honors by V.F.W. Post 1138.
