Barkman (Morency) was born on November 22, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan and passed away on February 5, 2022 at her home in Brownstown at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Donald. Loving mom of Gloria (the late Robert) Francis, the late Lorna (the late Harold) Dupuie, Donald Barkman and Allen Barkman. Cherished mimi of Nayrin, Robert, Rollin, Daniel, Brooke, Kimberly, Allen and Kevin. Great grandma of 11 and great great grandma of 6. Also survived by her sister Nola Goodwin, her brother Austin Morency as well as many other loving family and friends. Preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Maria (Antaya) Morency, her brothers Gasper, Melton, Bruce and Brian and her sisters Jessye, Shirley and Lorna. Visitation is on Monday February 7, 2022 from 3 pm to 8 pm at the Ford Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 23620 North Huron River Drive, Rockwood. Gloria will lie in state on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 10 am at St. Mary Catholic Church in Rockwood until the time of the Funeral Liturgy at 10:30 am. Interment Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made as the donor chooses.
