Helen Loretta Myers, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on July 23, 1932, in Derry, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Anthony and Frances (Mogus) Sledge. She married the love of her life, Raymond Myers, on September 13, 1951. Sadly he preceded her in death June 21, 2021. Helen's journey through life was marked by her unwavering kindness and deep sense of community.

A dedicated clerk with the United States Postal Service for 20 years, Helen retired in 1992, leaving behind a legacy of service and commitment. Her work was more than just a job; it was a testament to her belief in the importance of connection and communication within her community.

Helen was a proud graduate of Trenton High School, where she laid the foundation for a life filled with learning and personal growth. Beyond her career, she found joy and purpose in countless activities. A faithful member of the South Rockwood United Methodist Church, she exemplified her commitment to faith and community through her involvement with the Carleton VFW, the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 884 in Monroe, the Rockwood Historical Society, and the Berlin Township Senior Citizens. These organizations were just a few of the places where her vibrant spirit and compassion were felt.

In her leisure time, Helen embarked on many adventures, often traveling to new destinations. She cherished being present at her family's sporting events, lending her enthusiastic support to her loved ones. An avid bowler, she enjoyed striking down pins and sharing heartwarming moments with friends. Bargain shopping was another of her passions, allowing her to find treasures while enjoying the thrill of the hunt. Perhaps most importantly, Helen loved hosting family get-togethers, creating a warm atmosphere filled with laughter and love—memories that will last a lifetime.

She leaves behind a loving family who will carry her memory forward. Helen is survived by her devoted son, Raymond (Karen) Myers, who shared a special bond with her over the years. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Shannon (Matthew) Clum and Shawn Myers, who brought joy to her heart, as well as her great granddaughters, Capri and Indie, who were the lights of her life.

While Helen has been reunited with her parents and twelve siblings who preceded her in death, her spirit will forever inspire those who remain. Her warmth, humor, and love will resonate in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

In Helen's memory, let us take a moment to honor the joy she brought into our lives and the incredible impact she had on those around her. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love will live on in the cherished memories we hold dear.
