Born in Monroe, Michigan to Clarence and Dorothy E. (Harell) Tolbert, she married Thomas J. Whitaker March 6, 1941 he preceded her in death on April 19, 1986, beloved mother of Kenneth J. (Sharon) Whitaker of Jenison, MI., dear sister of James Don (Sara) Tolbert and Louise Turner both of Monroe, MI, loving grandmother of Dennis and Kaylene, she was also prededed in death by a daughter Sandra Lee Whitaker.
