James Alfred Boudrie, age 74 of Monroe, passed away Saturday, March 20, 2021 at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital. Born September 10, 1946 in Monroe, James was the son of James and Anna (Siterlet) Boudrie. A 1964 graduate of Monroe High School, he also had attended Monroe County Community College. James faithfully served our country in the United States Army serving overseas in Vietnam. He married the love of his life, Kathryn Baisch, in 1986. James worked as a Tool and Die Maker at Ford Motor Company for over 30 years as well as being a part time farmer. He was a lifetime member of Monroe VFW Post 1138 and the Michigan Farm Bureau. He enjoyed hosting the family Christmas Eve party, gardening, hunting and bee keeping. James leaves to cherish his memory, Kathryn, his wife of the past 35 years; a son James Boudrie; step son Daniel (Diane) Baisch; three grandchildren: Christopher, Matthew and Abigail; siblings: Mary (James) Bush, Sherrie Boudrie, Jennifer (Andrew) Soterakis, Melinda (Ryan) Muerer and Mark Boudrie; as well as many nieces, nephew, cousins and in laws including rediscovered nieces and nephews in England. Sadly he was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial contributions in honor of James may be made to the Humane Society of Monroe County.
