James Leland Tucker, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully in his home in Allen Park, Michigan, on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at the age of 71. Born on March 22, 1954, James lived a life filled with devotion to his family and faith.

A proud graduate of Redford High School, James embarked on a fulfilling career as a steel fabricator at a local steel mill, where his mechanical skills shone through. He was a man who could fix anything, showcasing a remarkable ability to tackle challenges head-on, whether at work or in the thoughts of reviving classic cars, a passion that brought him immense joy.

James’s commitment extended far beyond his career; he was a devoted husband to his beloved wife of 40 years, Jeanne Tucker. Together, they created a loving home filled with laughter and support for their four daughters: Sarah (Ryan) McKee, Laura (Jesse) Cooley, Anna (Ricky Prewitt) Tucker, and Amy Tucker. His pride in his family was unmatched, and he cherished the role of being a grandfather to eight beautiful grandchildren: Isabella, Levi, Caroline, Sharyn, Harlow, Rowan, Trace, and Coleson. Each moment spent with them was a treasure that he held dear.

Growing up in the Fundamental Baptist church, James remained dedicated to his faith throughout his life. He an his wife Jeanne found their home church at Inter-City Baptist Church in Allen Park, where they poured their hearts into serving the community and nurturing their spiritual growth together. His involvement in the church not only enriched his life, but also had a lasting impact on those around him.

James was also a cherished brother, deeply loved by his siblings: Brian Tucker, Robert (Gail) Tucker, and sister Melanie (Gary) Travis. He shared a special bond with his nieces and nephews, Mark Tucker, Melissa Tucker, Nicole, Hailey, and Sean Tucker, providing them guidance and love throughout their lives.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James (the late Sharon) Tucker and Patricia (the late Alvin) Randolph, and his brother, Steven Tucker. Although he leaves behind an indelible void in the lives of many, James's gentle spirit, unwavering love for his family, and dedication to his faith will continue to inspire those who knew him.

James Leland Tucker will be remembered as a man who embodied the values of family, hard work, and faith. His legacy will be cherished by his wife, daughters, grandchildren, siblings, and countless friends whose lives he touched with kindness and love.

Visitation for James will take place on Sunday, December 7, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Allen Park Chapel of the Martenson Family of Funeral Homes located at 10915 Allen Road, 48101. The funeral service will be held the following day, Monday, December 8, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
