Jan C. LaClair, fromerly Jenson, passed away on August 31, 2026, in Taylor, Michigan. She was born to Donald and Evelyn Jenson on February 7, 1951, in Trenton, Michigan.
Jan will be remembered as a hardworking woman whose life was centered on caring for others. She worked at Langfeed Co. from 1975 to 1995, and later started a special chapter of her life as the owner of Clip'n Time Barbershop in Taylor, MI from 2016 to 2025. She loved working at the barber shop and found joy in the daily conversations it brought. Above all, Jan loved her family and was known for putting everyone else’s needs before her own. She also enjoyed going gambling, a pastime that brought her happiness and fun.
Jan is survived by her daughter Lynette Pollock, her granddaughter Josie Pollock, and her brother-in-law, Jeff Lozier along with many loving nieces and nephews. Jan was preceded in death by her sister Bonnie Lozier, her brother Terry Martin, her parents Donald and Evelyn Jenson, her grandsons Donald and Dustin, and her partner Mario. Their memories remained part of the story of her life and the family she cherished so deeply.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at The Allen Park Chapel - Martenson Family Of Funeral Homes, 10915 Allen Rd, Allen Park, MI 48101. A funeral service will take place there on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery, 32163 West Huron River Drive, MI 48164.
Jan will be missed dearly by her family and by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
