In Loving Memory of Our Mom, Jana Rochel Clinton

October 29, 1983 – August 25, 2026

There are no words deep enough to express the pain of losing our mom. Her absence has left a space in our lives that can never be filled, because Jana was not only our mother she was a part of who we are. She was woven into our memories, our stories, our laughter, and our hearts. Losing her means learning how to live in a world that feels different without her in it.

Jana Rochel Clinton was a beautiful, unforgettable soul. She was a free spirit with a heart that could fill a room. She was bright, funny, outgoing, loving, and full of life. She had a way of making people laugh when they needed it most, often without even trying. Her jokes, her personality, her laughter, and the way she carried herself made her impossible to forget. Jana was the kind of person who left an impression on everyone she met, and somehow, even after knowing her for only a short time, people felt like they had known her forever.

To the world, she was Jana. To us, she was Mom a name that held our entire world.

Jana was the mother of five children: Austin, Brianna, Conner, Jayla, and Tessa, and the proud grandmother of La’Briah and Akila. She was a daughter to Kenneth, a sister to Aimie and Beth a former wife to Michael, and a best friend to Jon. She was also a friend, a confidant, a source of comfort, and a treasured part of the lives of so many people who loved her.

We will not remember Jana only for the battles she faced. We will remember the woman beneath them the mother who loved her children, the grandmother who cherished her grandchildren, the daughter, sister, friend, and beautiful soul who continued to fight her way toward peace.

In the end, Jana won her final battle.

She passed sober and free.

That truth means more to us than words can express. After everything she endured, she found her way back to God and developed a relationship with Him that brought her comfort and strength. Her faith became an important part of her life, and she loved God deeply. We find peace in knowing that she is no longer struggling, no longer hurting, and no longer carrying the burdens that weighed so heavily on her.

Mom, we wish we had more time.

We wish we could hear your voice again, sit beside you, ask you questions, and make new memories. We wish we could have one more conversation, one more laugh, one more hug, and one more ordinary day with you. There are things left unsaid and moments we wish we could relive, but we are grateful for every memory you gave us and every piece of yourself you left behind.

We will carry you with us in the way we laugh, in the stories we tell, and in the little things that remind us of you. We will hear your voice in our memories and feel your presence in the moments when we need you most. We will see you in the sparkle of the light, in the sight of an angel, in a funny story, and in every unexpected moment that brings a smile through our tears.

Your life touched more people than you may have ever realized. You were loved in ways you may not always have been able to see. You left pieces of yourself in your children, your grandchildren, your family, your friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing you. Those pieces will continue through us in the way we love, the way we laugh, the way we persevere, and the way we remember you.

We will tell your stories so your name continues to be spoken.

We will laugh at your jokes and remember your sense of humor.

We will honor your strength and the courage it took to keep fighting.

We will remember your wild, free spirit and your beautiful heart.

We will cherish the love you gave us, even when life was difficult.

We will look for you in the angels, the glitter, the light, and the signs that remind us you are still near.

Most of all, we will love you for the rest of our lives.

Your struggles are over now. Your heart can finally be at peace. You no longer have to fight, prove anything, or carry the weight of the past. You are forgiven, you are loved, and you are finally free.

Rest peacefully, Mom. You fought long enough. You gave all you could. You can finally lay your burdens down.

You are sober. You are free. You are with God.
