Janet June Cohoon

After a long struggle with her health our mother, Janet June Cohoon, passed away on September 13, 2023, surrounded by loving family and friends.

Janet was born in Trenton Michigan on September 5, 1957, to Clayton and Ikuko “June” Cohoon. Being the middle of 5 children Janet was raised in a big loving family and soon went on to have one of her own. Janet is survived by her loving children Jacob, Jennifer (Todd), Janay (John), and her 6 grandchildren, along with her 4 siblings and many family members and friends. Often known as “Meme”, Janet is also survived by many honorary children and grandchildren, including Jessica and Eric (Becca).

She was a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her kindness was indescribable, her love overwhelming, and she was fiercely loyal and protective of those she cared for, which was basically everyone she met.

A memorial service will be held on Friday September 29, 2023 at the Ridge Chapel of Martenson’s Family of Funeral homes, 2272 W. Jefferson Avenue in Trenton, Michigan, 48183, from 2:30-8:00 pm.
