Janet Valade

Janet Valade, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grand, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2025, at the age of 84 in Allen Park, MI. Born on July 29, 1941, in Wayne, MI, she was a bright light in the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Janet shared sixty and a half cherished years of marriage with her devoted husband, Philip Valade. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter, creating lasting memories that will be treasured by their family. Janet is survived by her loving children, Steven (Jeanne) Valade and Tricia (Bryan) Evans. She was a proud grandmother to Zachary (Michelle) Valade, Austin (Brooke) Nichols, Katie (Tim) Durocher, Emily Evans, and Benjamin Evans. Janet's heart was filled with joy as she welcomed her great-grandchildren, Lily and Lilah Nichols, and Jonathon Valade, with two more great-grandchildren on the way.

Janet is also remembered by her sister Marian (the late Keith) Johnson, as well as a host of friends and family who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her son Paul Valade and grandson Jonathon Valade, who are now reunited with her. She was also preceded by her parents, Richard and Edna Tapp, and her brothers, Robert (Donna) Tapp and Edsel (Cookie) Tapp.

Her legacy of kindness, warmth, and resilience will forever remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind. Friends and family are invited to gather to honor her memory with services at The Allen Park Chapel - Martenson Family Of Funeral Homes. Visitation will take place on November 9, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a viewing on November 10, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on the same day from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Janet Valade will be missed deeply, but her spirit will continue to inspire those who loved her.
