Jean Stella Digue

Digue, Jean Stella, age 74, of Southgate, passed away Monday, March 28, 2016 at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Jean was born July 22, 1941 in Detroit, the daughter of Stanley and Helen (Kozlowicz) Kania. In her youth she attended St. Cunequanda for grade school and graduated from Holy Redeemer High School then went on to work for Michigan Bell and married the love of her life Leroy Digue. She had four sons and worked at American Greetings. She was an excelent cook and fabulous baker. Her smile would light up the room along with her positive energy. Some of her hobbies were gardening colorful plants and flowers. She also enjoyed collecting bears that would be displayed in her home for all to see. She was preceeded in death by her parents and brothers Richard and Bob. Jean is survived by her husband Leroy; four sons Don, Doug, Dave (Melissa) and Dan; and two grandchildren Justin and Mattison. Visitation is Friday, April 1, 2016 from 1 pm - 9 pm at The Allen Park Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 10915 Allen Rd. (Corner of Goddard). Jean will lie In state Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 9:30 am at St, Pius X Catholic Church, Southgate until the Funeral Liturgy at 10 am at the church.
