Jeanette was born on April 6, 1921.she was 9th of 12 children born in Saul Ste. Marie ON Canada. She was a student at Our Lady. Of Lourdes Catholic school in River Rouge. She worked at Allen’s Jewelry store in downtown River Rouge and did a lot of babysitting for neighbors. She was married in 1941 to Kenneth Carrell and soon after bought a house in Lincoln Park. They had four children Patricia, Barbara, Judith and James. They gave her seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Jeannette always worked outside the home, bringing home the bacon to feed four kids and send them to private school. Her marriage ended in 1961 She started working at Chrysler Corp.in 1953 and later moved to Sterling Heights in 1972 to be closer to work. Retirement came in 1983 and she left Michigan and built a home in Swansboro, N.C. She spent her time gardening and won many awards for the most stunning yard in the neighborhood. She gave many hours to helping children in foster care programs. This was a great joy to her for many years. She gave it her all but realized in 2003 it was time to move back to Michigan to be close to family. As of January 25, 2021 she moved one more time. Only this time she will never again feel pain, sorrow but only joy as she can look at the face of our Lord. REST IN PEACE MOM, YOU DID A GREAT JOB. Services are private.
