Jeff Caroots

Jeff Caroots left this world unexpectedly on October 15, 2025 in Rockwood, Michigan. Born on May 25, 1963, in Trenton, Michigan, Jeff was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother whose impact on those around him will be cherished forever.

He spent his career honing his craft as a skilled machinist in tool and dye and earning the respect of colleagues, but it was his family that truly defined him. Jeff was married to his loving wife, Janine Caroots, for 36 beautiful years. Together, they created a home filled with laughter and love, providing a nurturing environment for their children: Jason Boismier, Jeffrey Caroots II (Kerri), and Janel (James) Takacs. As a father, Jeff's pride shone brightest in the joy of his children, and his legacy continues through them.

Additionally, Jeff was a doting papa to his beloved grandchildren: Summer (Caleb) Grace, Autumn Boismier, Noel Boismier, Lily Takacs, Nora Takacs, Archie Caroots, and Henry Caroots. He took immense joy in being part of their lives, celebrating their accomplishments and sharing in their adventures.

Jeff was known not only for his unwavering dedication to his family but also for his love of life. He found pleasure in watching U of M Football, cheering enthusiastically for his team, and he enjoyed golfing whenever he had the chance, creating memories that will be fondly recalled by those who shared those moments with him.

He is survived by his cherished mother, Liz Caroots, and brothers Greg Caroots and Gary (Patricia) Caroots, who will all remember him as a source of strength and support. The loss of Jeff is felt deeply by his family and friends, especially as they reflect on the fond memories created over the years.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Steve Caroots, whom he missed dearly. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in the hearts of those who loved him so deeply.

A visitation honoring Jeff's life will take place on October 20, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at The Ford Chapel - Martenson Family Of Funeral Homes, located at 23620 North Huron River Dr, Rockwood, MI 48173.

As family and friends gather to celebrate the life of a remarkable man, we find comfort in the bond he created with each of us and the love he shared that will forever remain in our memories. Jeff will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love will continue to guide and inspire us all.
