Jeremy Ray Bates passed away on August 27, 2026, at Corewell Health Royal Oak. He was born on March 23, 1972, in Trenton, Michigan.

Jeremy graduated from Trenton High School in 1990 and went on to earn his Associate’s Degree. He proudly served in the United States Air Force, a chapter of his life that reflected his dedication and sense of duty. He later worked as an Electrical Engineer, bringing skill and commitment to his profession.

Outside of work, Jeremy found enjoyment in the things that meant the most to him. He enjoyed hunting, had a love for classic cars, and was especially proud of his gun collection. These interests were a meaningful part of his life and reflected both his passions and his personality.

Jeremy will be lovingly remembered by his son Tyler (Delanie); mother, Audree M Bates (nee Turner); his brother, Jason (Amity) Bates along with his nieces, nephews other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Everett M. Bates, and by his brother, Duane Bates. Jeremy will be remembered with love by those who knew him and shared in his life.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday,September 19, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at The Trenton Chapel - Martenson Family ofFuneral Homes, 3200 West Rd, Trenton, MI 48183. A Memorial Service by the Downriver Veterans Honor Guard will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions to honor his life may be made as the donor chooses.
