Joan Marie Boron

Born in Monroe, Joan was the daughter of Roland & Irma (Salow) Boos. After graduating from St. Mary Academy in 1949, she married the love of her life, Joseph Boron, on May 20, 1950 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maybee. Sadly he preceded her in death April 29, 1997. A dedicated homemaker, Joan was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Maybee and involved in various ways: Singing in the Choir, as a Eucharistic Minister, St. Cecilia Circle and the Christian Mothers. She also belonged to Monroe and Frenchtown Senior Citizens as well as being an avid gardener who loved bird watching and animals. But most of all Joan enjoyed spending time with her family. Joan leaves to cherish her memory her children: Michael Boron of Maybee, Steven (Cheri) Boron of Monroe and Theresa (H. Brent) Reese of Maybee; two sisters: Rita Radosevich of Monroe and Mary Alice (Ronald) Gonia of Powell, Ohio; as well as a granddaughter Melissa Lemle and two great granddaughters: Brooklynn Marie Lemle and Sierra Marie Lemle. She will also be fondly remembered by many others who call her grandma. In addition to her parents and husband, Joan was preceded in death by two brothers: Richard Boos and Thomas Worrell; and two sisters: Rose Marie Worrell and Darlinda Worrell.
