John H. Dewar

Dewar, John H., age 91, November 4, 2020, formerly of Grosse Ile, MI. Beloved husband of the late Angelita. Loving father of John (Charlene), David (Sandi), Mark (Kathleen) and Daniel (Tina). Also survived by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. John graduated from Edison Institute High School, Dearborn, Michigan in 1947 excelling in basketball and baseball. John also graduated from Dearborn Junior College, Dearborn, Michigan in 1950. John attended Michigan State University before joining the United States Army. Served in the Artillery Branch of the U.S. Army as a Radio Operator and Field Wireman Specialist and was a Korean War Veteran. After the war ended John graduated from Wayne State University while working at Ford Motor Company, Dearborn, Michigan. John enjoyed a 34 year career at Ford Motor Company. John worked as a Product Design Engineer and Engineering Supervisor, automotive lighting and electrical components. Was an inventor of multiple electrical components that was issued U.S. Patents. John also was a part time Design Drafting and Blue Print Reading Instructor at Henry Ford Community College, Dearborn, Michigan. There will not be any services. Contributions in memory of John’s life may be made to Disabled American Veterans.
