Listen to Obituary

John Joseph Kuderik, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2025, at his home in Carleton surrounded by his family. The son of Joseph and Anna (Grabetz) Kuderik, he was born on April 17, 1941. John married the love of his life, Pauline Billock, in 1963. and lived a life full of dedication, love, and joy.  John devoted 34 years of his career to General Motors, where he exemplified hard work and commitment, traits that resonated throughout his life. A proud graduate of Airport High School in 1960, he built a life anchored in family values and a strong work ethic, and lived a life full of dedication, love, and joy.  He had a passion for the outdoors, finding joy in the simple pleasure of working outside, whether it was tending to his lawn or exploring nature. An avid hunter in his earlier years, John cherished the moments spent outdoors, reflecting his love for the natural world and its tranquility. His greatest joy, however, came from spending time with his family, especially his nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, who were the light of his life.  John is survived by his devoted wife, Pauline, his daughter Dawn (Thomas) McDevitt, and his sons John (Adreah) Kuderik Jr. and Brian (Dawnette) Kuderik. He is also survived by his siblings: Joanne Willis, Frank Kuderik, and Joseph (Ruth) Kuderik.  He is preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Mildred Lisic, Barbara Basinger, and Rosemary Kuderik, as well as his cherished granddaughter, Jessica Kuderik. The memories of John will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.  John's legacy of love, dedication, and kindness will forever remain a guiding light for his family and friends. His spirit will continue to shine brightly in the lives of those he touched.
