John Logelin

John Logelin, a cherished father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away September 26, 2025, at the age of 95. Born on October 29, 1929, John lived a life full of passion, creativity, and love for his family and friends.

Throughout his life, John cultivated a multitude of interests, finding joy in music, family gatherings, fishing, golfing, boating, and duck hunting. His enthusiasm for life was matched only by his pride in his accomplishments, notably becoming a private pilot, which reflected his adventurous spirit and love for aviation.

John is survived by his loving children, Stephen Logelin, Lorna Ciul, and Thomas Logelin. He took great pride in his role as a grandfather to Jason Logelin, Katelyn (Robin) Miller, Nicholas Ciul, Erica (Huston) Julian, Bryan Bennett, Leanne (Matthew) Laderman, and Emily Logelin, as well as being a great-grandfather to Gianna Reina, Jayden Reina, Paige Miller, Ace Miller, Caden Julian, and Declan Julian.

He will be warmly remembered by all who knew him for his kindness, wit, and profound love for his family. John leaves behind a legacy filled with wonderful memories that will forever resonate in the hearts of his loved ones.

A visitation will be held on September 28, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at The Allen Park Chapel - Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, located at 10915 Allen Rd, Allen Park, MI 48101. A viewing will take place on September 29, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM, followed by a Mass at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church at 10:00 AM, located at 9000 Laurence Avenue, Allen Park, MI 48101.

John is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret, daughter Joan Bennett, and granddaughter Melissa Reina. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all whose lives he touched.
