John Peter Teresko

John Peter Tersko. Born September 14, 1949. Died November 25, 2022.

Anita I. Teresko married for 37 years. We enjoyed our 37-years of marriage traveling, visiting our children and family, playing tennis for fun and competitive.

John was given an international assignment by Ford to Canada for seven years. On our repatriation we looked for a home and were told about GI, a well-kept secret. We found it and fell in low with it, bought a home and lived on the island for 22 years. He had always said “I want to live on an island”. It is not in the Caribbean that was the dream, but it was our home and we loved it. My John often played his guitar for me on quiet evenings. We took lessons and sometimes played together, even though we did not sound good. Many romantic evenings he played on the deck, living room and recreation room. The electric guitar was also played, but was too loud so it went downstairs.

Father to Emily Colyer, Kelly Teresko, John Teresko and Step father to Raymund Rodriguez II and Jacob Rodriguez.

Grandfather to Adam Colyer, Sarah Colyer, Luke Teresko, Benjamin Rodriguez, and Anna Rodriguez.

Brother to Ann Mansfield, and Alan Teresko.

Uncle to David Teresko, Amanda Mansfield, Leo Maldonado, Paul Maldonado, Vinh Maldonado, Donnie Daniels, Sarah Leyla, Christopher Leyda.

Son-in-law to Samuel Maldonado, Juan Maldonado, Irene Leyda, Catherine Jones Rodriguez and Marisa Rodriguez.

John enjoyed playing soccer, rugby, tennis, golf, skiing, gourmet cooking, reading, pool, scrabble, Chinese checkers, sudoku, gardening, and was a Mensa member.

John loved Monty Python, John Cleese, Winston Churchill, History, British/ American comedy.

John worked at Ford Motor Company - IT Manager, Chrysler Motor Company - Industrial Engineering Manager, Tonka Toys - Manufacturing Engineering Manager Twin Plants, Volkswagen of America - Industrial, Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Tooling Engineering for twin plants manager, General Motors Corporation - five year tool and die certification at Vauxhall Motors (England) Industrial Engineer Vauxhall Motors/Kansas City, 5 year skill trades certification, 2 year scholarship at GMI for Industrial Engineering at two GM assembly plants.

John studies included. Luton Tech (England) HNC under Cambridge University, nine years of full scholarship from General Motors attending Luton College under Cambridge University (England) and GMI (USA). Attained Ordinary and Higher National Certificates in Mechanical Engineering (Equivalent of a US Masers Degree, graduate of GMI post graduate studies in Industrial Engineering.
