Born in Monroe, John was the son of Harold and Barbara (Gamboe) St. Bernard. A graduate of Monroe High School, he proudly served our country in the United States Navy. John married the love of his life, Nancy Perlinski, on October 6, 1990. Sadly she preceded him in death March 3, 2022. John supported his family as a Pipefitter with the Plumbers and Pipefitter Local 671, Monroe. He was a Lifetime Member of Monroe VFW Post 1138. John enjoyed playing billiards, bowling and playing softball, but his most treasured times were those spent with his family.
John leaves to cherish his memory his children: Randall St. Bernard, Christa (Kevin) Weston and Andrew Taulbee; 6 grandchildren: Dominick Marano, Courtney St. Bernard, John “Buster” St. Bernard, Grant Weston, Breanna Weston and Raylee Weston; and several great grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by a son Mike St. Bernard and two siblings: Karen Zeestraten and Thomas St. Bernard.
Following services at the funeral home, the family wishes for everyone to continue honoring John’s life at the VFW Post 1138; 400 Jones Ave.
