His life was a beautiful reflection of the things he held most dear: his love for Jehovah, his family, the beauty of nature, his art, and the many blessings found in everyday life.Jon had a rare ability to see beauty where others might overlook it. He was an artist not simply because he could create beautiful things, but because he seemed to experience the world through a different lens—one filled with color, imagination, wonder, and gratitude. Whether holding a pencil, paintbrush, shaping wood, or transforming snow into something extraordinary, Jon found joy in creating. His talent as a snow sculptor was especially remarkable, and his imagination and skill once brought to life a snow sculpture larger than a two-story home.His creativity was woven into nearly everything he did. He was a gifted woodworker who took pride in working with his hands, and he loved cooking—perhaps almost as much for enjoying the finished meal as he did for preparing it. He understood the simple pleasure of good food, good conversation, and good company.Jon was a quietly social man who enjoyed being surrounded by people. His time with the Ivor J. Lindsay Community in Temperance brought him meaningful friendships, companionship, and many moments of connection. He had a gift for sharing a laugh and simply being present with those around him.Nature held a special place in Jon’s heart. He appreciated the beauty of the world Jehovah had created and found peace in its quiet moments. His time in Texas was particularly meaningful to him, providing a place where he could slow down, center himself, and take in the beauty of the wide-open landscape and unforgettable Texas sunsets. He had an appreciation for life's small blessings—the kind that can so easily be missed when we are moving too quickly.Above all, Jon loved Jehovah. His faith as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses was a source of comfort, hope, and peace throughout his life. He cherished the promise of a future when suffering and death will be no more and when the blessings of Jehovah’s creation can be enjoyed forever. His faith was not merely something he believed; it was something that gave meaning to the way he viewed life, nature, family, and the future.In his younger years, Jon graduated from Monroe Catholic Central High School, where he participated in the Track and Field program. His energy, determination, and enthusiasm for life continued to be part of his character throughout the years that followed.But perhaps the greatest part of Jon’s legacy is found in the family he loved. He is survived by his sister, Barbara; his children, Jonathon Grzesiek, Brandon Grzesiek, Jazzmon Frey, and Rozzlon Cassette; his grandchildren, Sena, Cooper, Chloe, Lilyona, Savannah, Roxanne, Julien, Gemma, Monroe, and Felix; his great-grandchildren, Carter, Willow, and Kaya. He is also survived by his children’s spouses, extended family members, and many friends whose lives were touched by his presence.Jon was preceded in death by his daughter, Shannon Louise Nasser; his father, Joseph Edward Grzesiek; his mother, Patricia Marie Grzesiek; and his brothers, James Grzesiek, Thomas Grzesiek, and David Grzesiek.Jon leaves behind much more than the artwork he created or the things he built with his hands. He leaves behind sunsets remembered, meals shared, conversations treasured, laughter that will not be forgotten, and countless memories held close by the people who loved him. He leaves behind a family who knew his heart, friends who valued his companionship, and a legacy of creativity, faith, and appreciation for the beauty of life.He saw beauty in the world because he believed it was a gift from Jehovah. He found joy in creating, peace in nature, and purpose in his faith. Most of all, he was grateful for the people he was blessed to share his life with.Jon will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of those who knew him. His family finds comfort in the hope he cherished—that death is not the end, and that one day, under Jehovah’s promised Kingdom, the people we love will live again.There are no public visitation or services scheduled.
