Jonathan R. Tobin

Jonathan R. Tobin, born on February 16, 1958, entered eternal rest on January 3, 2026. He was a beloved figure who touched the lives of many with his warmth and kindness. Jonathan is remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, stepfather, and brother.

He shared a beautiful life with his wife, Thaya, together for 21 years and married for the past eight years. Their partnership was a testament to their love and mutual support. Jonathan was a proud father to Matthew and his wife Danielle, and he cherished his role as a grandfather to Leona. In addition to his immediate family, he served as a loving stepfather to Richard, Steven, Barry, the late Brian, Allison, Brent, and Brad, and was blessed to have many step-grandchildren who filled his life with joy.

Jonathan was also a cherished brother to Michael and Nelson and a beloved uncle to Nathan, Trevor, Parker, and Charlie, fostering strong bonds that will be remembered fondly.

He was known for his deep passion for music, which brought him joy and connected him with others. Jonathan's love for music not only enriched his own life but also created lasting memories with those around him.

Jonathan was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Suzanne, whose legacy continues through the family he cherished dearly.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 8, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 6:00 PM at The Allen Park Chapel - Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, located at 10915 Allen Rd, Allen Park, MI 48101. Jonathan’s spirit will continue to live on in the heart of his family and friends, who will forever hold him dear.
