Our beloved brother Joseph Nelson McGunagle passed away peacefully on July 9, 2026. Joe lived his life as an adventure. He made friends wherever he went. He remained close and in touch with the people he cherished like Carol and Richard and Maggie, no matter where he lived. Joe attended Wayne State University where he studied Liberal Arts. Joe had a colorful career ranging from Disney Store Manager to Dry Cleaner Delivery to Travel Tour Guide. Joe had a passion for Civil Rights. He remained kind, even when political topics got heated. Joe was articulate, funny, creative and was a pretty darn good cook! Joe loved the color orange! When you see something orange, think of him and smile!
Joe is preceded in death by his parents Mac and Ann McGunagle. He is also preceded in death by his brother Evans McGunagle. Joe is survived by his siblings Kevin McGunagle, Mary McGunagle, Annie (Rick) Pearson, Laura Virgo, Brian McGunagle, Rob (Beth) McGunagle, his beloved nieces, nephews and many cousins.
Funeral Service will be held at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church
