Joseph Moskall, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on September 5, 2026.

He is lovingly remembered by his four children: John, Joey, Jody, and Jean. Their mother, Judy Moskall, mourns alongside John’s fiancée, Kelly; Joey’s wife, Nicole; Jody’s boyfriend, Paul; and Jean’s wife, Jodi. His cherished grandchildren, Brandon, Josh, Lauren, Jacob, Jagr, Jade, and Jasper were a source of great joy for him.

Known affectionately as “Joe the Cookie Man,” he had a passion for baking and cooking, often sharing his creations with those around him. His early mornings were spent shopping for groceries at Kroger, Meijer, and Walmart, always before the day began for most.

He treasured time spent with his sons, especially while fishing near Calf Island by Grosse Ile, a favorite spot where cherished memories were made.

His skills in making beef jerky, Slim Jims, and kielbasa are carried on by his sons, Joey and Johnny, continuing his legacy. Gardening was another passion—he taught family and friends how to nurture plants, hosting friendly competitions to grow the biggest tomato. Animals, especially his beloved Buddy, held a special place in his heart. He enjoyed driving with Buddy by his side, stopping for a burger and to visit Jody at work.

His generosity was boundless, as he baked and delivered goods to doctors, nurses, and staff at Walmart and Kroger, touching the lives of many without seeking recognition. We remember him as a good father, a great provider, and a man of immense kindness who shaped the lives of those fortunate enough to have known him.
