Joseph P. Chojnowski

Born in Wyandotte, Joseph was the son of Joseph and Stephanie (Sobeswski) Chojnowski. He married the love of his life, Rosetta Birch, in 1952. Sadly she preceded him in death in 2002. Joseph spent most of his career as a Police Officer with the Rockwood Police Department, retiring in 1991. His hobbies included playing bingo and going to the casino. Joseph leaves to cherish his memory his children: Elizabeth (Steven) Swierlik of Dearborn, Suzann (Garry) Moore of Flat Rock, Deborah (Delmer) Moore of Palmetto, Florida and Michael Chojnowksi of Carleton; as well as 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by 3 sons: Joseph Chojnowksi Jr., Francis Chojnowski and Steven Chojnowski; 2 brothers: Frank Chojnowski, Pete Chojnowski; and 5 sisters: Anna Pasko, Joann Wirtel, Sophie Jeweswski, Mary Osack and Irene Picciuto.
