Joyce LeClair, née Dapoz, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, leaving behind a legacy filled with love, devotion, and cherished memories. Born on August 11, 1941, Joyce lived a life that touched the hearts of all who knew her, a testament to her warm spirit and unwavering kindness.
She was a beloved wife to Thomas L. LeClair, with whom she shared 63 beautiful years of marriage, a partnership marked by mutual respect, love, and countless shared moments that will forever be treasured by their family. Joyce was a proud mother to her sons, Thomas M. LeClair and Ronny (Jennifer) LeClair, who carry forward her values and spirit. The family mourns deeply the loss of her son Michael LeClair, who passed before her.
Her joy extended immeasurably to her grandchildren: Sara, Matthew, and Ella, who brought light and laughter into her later years. Joyce’s familial love also included her siblings; her sisters Connie (Duane) Cross and Bev (late Ralph) Shotwell, her brother Glen (late Linda) LeClair, and Patty Dapoz. Her parents, Natilla and Elizabeth Dapoz, preceded her in death, but their presence lives on in the traditions and stories she lovingly passed along.
A Mass honoring Joyce's life will be held on May 9, 2026, she will lie in state starting at 9:00 AM at St. Cyprian Catholic Church, located at 13249 Pennsylvania Road in Riverview, MI. A Mass will follow at 10:00 AM at the same location, allowing all who wish to gather in remembrance and celebration of her life to do so.
Joyce LeClair’s passing leaves a profound void, yet her spirit remains indelible among those who had the privilege to know her. She epitomized grace, perseverance, and a selfless dedication to her family, which will inspire generations to come. Her memory is a gentle beacon of love and strength in the hearts of her survivors, a poignant reminder of a life well-lived and a love deeply cherished.
