Judith Ann Roberts, a cherished member of the Monroe community and a dedicated professional, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2026. Born on June 8, 1940, Judith's life was one marked by unwavering commitment, both to her career and to her family, as well as a deep love for the simple joys and meaningful pursuits that enriched her days.

Judith completed her early education at St. Patrick Elementary in Carleton, Michigan, followed by her graduation in 1958 from St. Mary's Academy in Monroe, Michigan. Emphasizing lifelong learning, she earned her Associate’s degree in Commerce Cum Laude from Monroe County Community College in 1985, underscoring her dedication to academic achievement and personal growth.

Her professional life was defined by her role as a bus driver for Monroe Public Schools, where her skills and passion for her work were recognized far beyond the ordinary. Judith was a three-time Bus Rodeo Champion, proudly securing the title in 1990, 1998, and 2001. Her exceptional talent and commitment in this demanding and important job earned her the admiration of colleagues and community alike.

Outside her professional endeavors, Judith embraced a variety of hobbies and interests. She was an avid bike rider and swimmer, frequently enjoying the YMCA pool. Her creative spirit found expression through knitting and crocheting, crafts through which she demonstrated patience and artistry. Judith was also a steadfast contributor to the Red Cross as a blood donor, exemplifying her generosity and concern for others. She loved playing cards and traveling, activities that brought her joy and connection to friends and family. Notably, she served as a Boy Scout Den Leader, reflecting her dedication to mentoring youth. Above all, Judith treasured the time spent with her grandchildren, taking them on excursions and attending all their sporting events and award ceremonies, creating lasting memories filled with love and support.

Judith's enduring legacy is also reflected in her devoted family. She was married to her beloved husband, Larry Roberts, whom she wed on June 27, 1959, at St. Patrick's Church in Carleton, Michigan. Together they built a life richly blessed by their children and grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Chris Roberts of Carleton; Gary (Sherry) Roberts of Maybee; Anita Roberts of Maybee; and Doug (Julie) Roberts of Newport. Her grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable pride and joy, include Jeremy Moore, Johnnie (Lily) Moore, Jarret Moore, Alexa Roberts, Zach Roberts, and Reanne Roberts. She was also a great-grandmother to Michael Wunderlich, Maddie Moore, and Oliver and Lawrence Moore.

Judith’s siblings who remain are Barbara (Richard) Masserant, Jean (Emory) Buyaki, and Ed Agocs. Other family members who survive her include her sister-in-law Dorothy (Gary) Gudes and brother-in-law Joe (Cindy) Roberts.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William Agocs and Stephanie Kerzich; her siblings Patricia Kohler and Billy Agocs; her daughter Christine; son Paul; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Richard and Kathy Roberts; great-granddaughter Millie Moore; and nephews Duane and Bradley.

A visitation will be held at The Liedel Chapel - Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 9061 Raisin St, Maybee, Michigan, 48159 on Thursday June 11, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. On Friday June 12, 2026, the family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time of Mass 11:00 AM at Divine Grace Parish-St. Joseph Church, 9207 Joseph Street, Maybee, Michigan, 48159. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Maybee
