Kate Wilson, born on September 3, 1953, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2026. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and godmother, beloved by all who knew her.
Kate found great joy in traveling and camping. She especially loved reading her books on the beach, where she could relax and enjoy the simple beauty of life. Her love for the outdoors and adventure was matched only by her love for her family.
Family was incredibly important to Kate. She was deeply involved with her loved ones and treasured watching her grandkids grow.
She is survived by her sons, Jonny and his wife Maryann, and James. Her grandsons, Matthew and Camden, will carry on her spirit and memories. Her brother Michael, along with his wife Laura, remain part of her close family circle. Kate was also proud to be an aunt to many and the godmother to Chelsea, roles she held dear.
Kate was preceded in death by her husband, Jon Wilson, who she shared 33 wonderful years with, and her parents, Francis and Wilma Willett.
Kate’s life was one of immense love, loud laughter, and lasting memories. She excelled and took great pride in her work. She was never afraid to fight for the ones she loved and provide a helping hand to those in need. She will be missed but remembered forever by those who loved her.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Michigan Humane Society or the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
