Kathleen M. Lopez

Kathleen M. Lopez, age 73 of Grosse Ile, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning in Trenton, Michigan. Born, on February 17th, 1944, she was preceded in death by her parents, Patrick and Patricia Dolan, and siblings, Mary Labranche and Patrick (Cheryl) Dolan. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, William Lopez; siblings, Margaret (Brian) O'Byrne, Patricia (William) Ricks; children, John (Sandy) Lopez, Mary-Margaret (Nicholas) Booker, and Joseph (April) Lopez; grandchildren, Amber Lopez, Krystal Lopez, Noah Booker, William Booker, Leo Lopez, and Estella Lopez; and many nieces and nephews. She will be forever remembered for her sense of humor and compassionate nature, as she cared for many family and friends during her life. She was a generous and giving Catholic woman. Kathy loved gardening, bird-watching, and cooking for her family. She was famous for her meat pies and traditional Irish dinners. Kathleen M. Lopez's services will be held at Martenson's Funeral Home from 1:00 - 5:00 pm on Saturday, May 13th. Her family will be taking monetary donations for St. Jude's Children's hospital in her honor. Kathy will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
