Kathleen Jean Sedlock

Kathleen Jean Sedlock (Farber), affectionately known as Kathy, age 77, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Altoona, Pennsylvania, Kathy was the daughter of Clarence and Pauline Farber. Kathy married the love of her life, Barry Edward Sedlock, on May 3, 1969. Together, they shared 44 wonderful years of marriage, building a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Kathy was the proud owner and operator of the Flat Rock Julia Shop and was a member of Soroptimist, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls. Known for her quick wit, wonderful sense of humor, and infectious laugh, Kathy had a way of making everyone around her smile. She enjoyed sharing a good laugh and spending time with the people she loved. Her humor and warm personality will be remembered by all who knew her.

Above all, Kathy cherished her family. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother. Her grandchildren were lucky enough to have the very best Grammie. Whether sharing a laugh or simply spending time together, she made memories with them that they will treasure forever.

Kathy leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Roberta (Joe) Bravata; her beloved grandchildren, Samantha Handley, Kennedy Carroll, and Nicholas Bravata; her brother-in-law, Doug (Marilyn) Sedlock; and her niece, Michelle McFarland.

In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Barry Edward Sedlock, and her daughter, Lori Carroll.

While Kathy will be deeply missed, her family takes comfort in the many memories and laughter she leaves behind, and in knowing she is reunited with Barry and Lori.

A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Kathy's memory may consider a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
