Listen to Obituary

Keith R. Sandie, a proud journeyman carpenter, was born on January 29, 1958, in Detroit, Michigan. He lived a life marked by hard work, dedication, and a deep love for his family. Keith departed this world on October 1, 2025, in Dearborn, Michigan, leaving behind a legacy characterized by his strong values and unwavering commitment to his loved ones.

Married to his best friend, Janice Sandie, for an impressive 31 years, Keith found his greatest joy in their partnership and the life they built together. He took immense pride in being a father, and his beloved children, Lauren (Tyler Underwood) Sandie and Craig (Sarah) Sandie, were among his proudest accomplishments. The bonds he formed with them were enduring and filled with love.

Keith's warmth extended beyond his immediate family. He cherished his siblings, Paul (Laura) Sandie, Marsha (Hank) Wolowiec, and Grant (Louise) Sandie, and held a special place in his heart for his brothers-in-law, Dennis (Lin) Klenczar, David Klenczar, Joe (Beth) Klenczar, and Jim (Gail) Klenczar. He also looked up to his mother-in-law, Elida Klenczar, who was a cherished figure in his life. Keith's loyalty and affection for his family knew no bounds, and he adored his beloved dog, Josie, who brought him daily joy. He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and family.

Keith's life was enriched by his many hobbies and interests. He loved riding his E-bike around town, finding moments of peace and adventure in every ride. An avid traveler, Keith appreciated the beauty of the beach, which often served as a backdrop for family memories. He also took great pride in his yard, cultivating it with the same dedication he applied to his work as a carpenter.

Though Keith faced heartbreak with the loss of his son, Ryan Sandie, and the passing of his parents, William and Marjorie Sandie, and his father-in-law, Edward Klenczar, he remained resilient and dedicated to cherishing his surviving family. Keith's spirit will forever remain a guiding light for those who loved him.
