With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Kelley, who left us far too soon at the age of 44.
Kelley was a vibrant soul who lived life in full color—especially pink, her absolute favorite. Whether she was dressed head-to-toe in it or adding a bold pop of it to her day, pink wasn’t just a color to her—it was her energy, her warmth, and her unmistakable presence.
A proud fan of the Detroit Tigers, Kelley rarely missed a chance to cheer them on. Game days were her days—full of excitement, laughter, and maybe a little friendly trash talk. She brought that same passion into everything she did.
To know her was to know someone who was incredibly social, outgoing, and full of life. She had a way of turning strangers into friends and friends into family. Her laughter filled rooms, her conversations were unforgettable, and her presence was magnetic.
Kelley was also known for her “spicy” personality—bold, honest, and unapologetically herself. She spoke her mind, stood her ground, and loved fiercely. That fire was part of what made her so special, and it’s something that will never be forgotten.
She leaves behind a family who adored her, friends who will miss her deeply, and countless memories that will be cherished forever.
Though her time here was far too short, Kelley made a lasting impact on everyone lucky enough to know her. Her spirit, her style, and her spark will live on in all of us.
Kelley was survived by her mother Shirley Harris, her two sisters Kathy Klos (Dave) and Karie Tanner (Al), niece Hailey Klos, nephew Sean Tanner, great-niece Annalee Gonzalez and great-nephew Antonio Gonzalez. She was preceded in death by her father Vernon Harris and her nephew Austin Tanner.
A celebration of her life will be held at Martenson Funeral Home, 10915 Allen Rd, Allen Park, MI 48101, on Monday May 11th, 2026 where we will honor her the way she would have wanted—surrounded by love, laughter, and maybe a little bit of pink. Family hour will be from 2-3pm, all others are welcome from 3-8pm. Service will be held at 5pm.
