Listen to Obituary

Kenny G. Lebot, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and cherished friend, passed away on March 22, 2026, in Taylor, Michigan, after a valiant battle with cancer. Born on November 15, 1949, in Detroit, Michigan, Kenny was a man whose life was defined by resilience, unwavering spirit, and a love that touched the hearts of all who knew him.

Kenny began his professional journey as a lineman, a role that laid the foundation for his dedicated and hardworking nature. Over the years, he evolved into a skilled fiber optics technician at a phone company, where his technical expertise and meticulous work ethic made him a respected figure among his peers. Beyond his career, he was a proud veteran who served his country honorably in the U.S. Army, a testament to his commitment and courage.

With a Bachelor’s Degree in general studies, Kenny was a man of many facets. He carried a personality that was both stubborn and delightfully smart-aleck, lighting up rooms with his wit and humor. His deep passion for music was legendary—he was a vast collector of 50’s, 60’s tunes, and doo-wop records, often losing himself in the melodies he loved. Traveling was another joy in his life, with Hawaii holding a special place in his heart, where he found peace and happiness. He also cherished the simple pleasures: sharing beer with friends and family and savoring moments of good times and laughter.

Kenny’s proudest accomplishments were the loving family he built and nurtured. He shared his life for 56 wonderful years with his wife, Bonnie Lebot, a partnership filled with love and mutual support. Their legacy continues through their children, Heather (Ron) Jennings and Renee (Doug) Morgan, who carry forward his values and spirit. His four granddaughters—Chelsey Jennings, Delaney Charron, Hannah Jennings, and Elizabeth Morgan—were the light of his life, reminders of the love that extended through generations.

The community is invited to honor Kenny’s memory at The Allen Park Chapel - Martenson Family Of Funeral Homes, located at 10915 Allen Rd, Allen Park, MI 48101. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Knights of Columbus rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. that evening. The funeral service will take place the following day, Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, beginning with military honors being performed by the Downriver Veterans Honor Guard.

Kenny G. Lebot’s legacy is one of love, courage, and joy, a life richly lived and deeply felt. Though his stubborn streak and playful spirit will be missed, his memory remains eternally vibrant in the hearts of those who knew him. He was a man who loved fiercely, laughed often, and lived fully—a beacon of light whose song will never fade.
