Listen to Obituary

Kevin Nicholas Spano, 52, passed away suddenly on December 10, 2025, leaving a space in our lives that can never be filled. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and cherished friend. He left this world far too soon, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, generosity, and unforgettable memories.

Kevin made life brighter simply by being in it. He lit up every room he walked into, always arriving with drinks to share and the perfect music playlist. He loved being surrounded by friends and family and was the kind of host who made sure everyone felt comfortable, welcome, and cared for.

Born with an adventurous spirit and a warm welcoming heart, Kevin found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He was most at home on the water, boating and fishing. Every spring he looked forward to the walleye season and the annual trip to the Minnesota shack. There, surrounded by family and lifelong friends, he created countless memories filled with camaraderie and plenty of laughter. Those who joined him on these trips will forever hold these moments close to their hearts.

There was no challenge too great for Kevin, he would always find a way to figure things out, especially when someone else needed his help. He spent his life caring for others, always putting their needs before his own. No problem was too big, and no favor was too small. If someone needed help, Kevin was already on his way. He was the go-to guy, the friend anyone could count on.

Above all else, Kevin was a devoted father to his son, Dylan, who meant everything to him. Kevin’s happiest moments were spent with Dylan whether they were fixing things, fishing, or off-roading together. His love, patience, and guidance shaped the young man that Dylan has become. We see Kevin reflected in his son, in Dylan’s kindness, his character, and his heart. Through him, Kevin is still with us.

Kevin was a graduate of Carlson High School and Michigan Technological University, a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, and a dedicated employee of Ford Motor Company for 25 years. He is survived by his loving wife Audrey, his son, Dylan, parents Nick and Vickie, brothers Phil (Brook), Tony, and a community of relatives and friends that will forever cherish his memory.

Kevin was truly one of a kind and there will never be another person quite like him.

We are asking all friends and family that attend the visitation to wear your favorite Detroit sports apparel.
