Kyle Richard Martin, 42, of Trenton, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on September 8, 2026.

Born on October 2, 1983, in Westland, Michigan, Kyle was the beloved son of Richard “Dick” Martin and the late Lindsay Peltz Martin. He built a career in the IT industry; however, his true passion was being a father to his daughters, Harper (9) and Henleigh (7). He took immense pride in his girls and in them, he found a source of purpose. His love for them was one of the most enduring expressions of who he was.

Kyle cherished time with his father, sister, Stacey, extended family, and friends, especially the simple gatherings that brought everyone together. His smile and humor had a way of making shared experiences feel special, creating memories his loved ones will carry with them.

A lifelong sports fan, Kyle especially enjoyed following the Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers. He and his father often watched games side by side, sharing the excitement, frustration, and traditions that made each one memorable.

Kyle is survived by his father, Richard “Dick” Martin; his sister, Stacey (Nick) ; his daughters, Harper and Henleigh; his nephews Christian (Brooklynn) Hunley and Mason Pelfrey, his aunts and uncles, Tom (Brenda) Martin, Linda Morvan, Sue (Dan) Sonak, Pam Reiger, and Norma Peltz; his many cousins; and his dear friends. He will be remembered for his generosity, humor and easygoing nature. The love he gave to his family and friends, the laughter he shared, and the kindness he extended will continue through all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Lindsay Peltz Martin; his grandfather, Richard V. Martin; his grandmothers, Marjorie Martin and Wilma Martin; his uncles, Thomas Keith Morvan and Charles Peltz; and his cousin, Matt Peltz.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Martenson Funeral Home in Trenton, Michigan.
