Lee Edward Francis, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2026, in Bellaire, Michigan. Born on April 15, 1940, in Lincoln Park, Michigan, Lee lived a full and meaningful life marked by dedication to family and lasting friendships.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Antoinette Francis, who stood by his side through every chapter of their journey together. Lee’s legacy of love and kindness is carried forward by his three children: Nichole (Eric); Zachary (Stefanie); and Andrea (Kory). His grandchildren, Luna and Avery, were sources of great joy and pride.
Lee’s extended family includes his nephews Greg, Grant, Robert, and Shawn, who remember him fondly for his generosity and warmth.
He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Nellie Francis, whose values and teachings helped shape the man he became. Lee also mourned the passing of his siblings, Robert (Jean), Rosemary (Dick), and Phil, whose memories he treasured deeply.
A visitation to honor Lee’s life will take place on May 26, 2026, from 3:30 PM to 8:00 PM at The Allen Park Chapel - Martenson Family Of Funeral Homes, located at 10915 Allen Rd, Allen Park, MI 48101. The funeral service will be held the following day, Mary 27, 2026, beginning at 11:30 AM, concluding at noon, at the same location. There will be a procession to Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery after the service.
Lee Edward Francis’s enduring spirit, steadfast love for his family, and commitment to those around him will be remembered with great respect and affection.
