Lenore Dicks Wilson

What a glorious day for Lenore, on January 15, 2022 she passed from this life into the arms of her loving savior Jesus Christ! Waiting for Lenore on the other side were many, yet none so dear to her as her precious daughter Pamela Jean. Lenore was born the third of ten children to George and Velma Dicks in South Rockwood, Michigan. She spent 30 years loving children as an elementary school secretary and many years cheering on young adults as a probation officer for 33rd district court. Her hobbies and interests and her schedule revolved around her daughters and their families. Athletic games, school and church programs, and graduations she never missed. You also couldn’t miss her at these events due to her beaming pride and boisterous cheering. Lenore was usually found in the midst of laughter; gifted with a sense of humor second to none. Tears were also a sweet and tender part of her life. With love and compassion she sought out and brought comfort to anyone who found themselves in difficult circumstances. Lenore was preceded in death by her daughter Pamela, her parents and her brothers George, Richard, Robert, and William Dicks, and sister Grace Wiseman. She is survived by her daughters Christy Hedke (Tom), and Cheryl Sitler (Doug), six grandchildren, Andrea McCormick, Tommy Hedke (Tammy), Michael Hedke (Kristy), Chelsie Brymer (Jono), Jillian VanderPloeg (Tim), Ryan Bernath (Ashley), fifteen great-grandchildren, Johnny, Sammy, Alex, Levi, Andrew, Zechariah, Abigail, Eponine, Beau, Merci, Lydia, Caleb, Gracie, Hank and Lucy. She is also survived by her sister Gladys Cunningham, and brothers Charles, Leonard (Kathy), and Dennis Dicks. She will be missed by family members, Barbie Bondy, Geri Dicks, Penny Dicks and Bob “Peaches” Wiseman, numerous dearly loved nieces and nephews, and her dearest friends, Aggie, Vi, and Gayle. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the playground fund of Christ the King Lutheran School, Southgate or Inter-City Baptist School, Allen Park.
