Lila "Putsy" Green

Lila Green, née Steffas, affectionately known as “Putsy”, long-time former resident of Riverview, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 2, 2026 in Oak Creek, Wisconsin at the age of 84. Born on July 11, 1941, in Ecorse, Michigan, Lila's life was a testament to love, resilience, and unwavering dedication.

For much of her life, Lila was a devoted homemaker, nurturing her family with boundless care and grace. Her commitment to her loved ones laid the foundation of a warm and loving home that blossomed through the years. Later, embracing new challenges with courage and determination, she transitioned into the workforce, becoming a Branch Manager for Kelly Services. In this role, she demonstrated leadership and the indomitable spirit that marked every chapter of her life.

Lila’s journey was rich with relationships that she treasured deeply. She was the loving mother of two sons: Michael Green, along with his wife Shelie, and Jeffrey Green. Her pride and joy extended to her four beloved grandchildren, Sydney and her partner Dan, Ryan, Quinn, and Olivia. Each held a special place in her heart, a reflection of her enduring legacy of family and warmth.

Though she has left this world, Lila’s memory is forever cherished by those who knew her and were touched by her kindness. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, the late Bill Green, and her dear parents, whose love shaped the woman she became.

Lila Green's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, perseverance, and a deep sense of family. Her gentle spirit and strength will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to share in her journey. Her presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Visitation for Lila will take place on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 from 4:00 p.m.to 8:00 p.m. at the Trenton Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes located at 3200 West Road, 48183. The funeral service will be held that same evening at the funeral home at 6:00 p.m. Lila will be laid to rest beside her husband at Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery in Huron Twp., Michigan.
