Linda A. Bollman

Linda A. Bollman, 84, of Allen Park, MI, passed away at her home on July 3, 2023.

Linda is survived by her husband of over 60 years, Edward G Bollman; children Mark (Laura), Daniel (Anne), Eric (Monica), Laura (John) Brennan, Jennifer (David) Mazurek, and Steven (Robyn); and 9 grandchildren: Haley, Patrick, Kate, Emily, Sarah, Mathew, Megan, Natalie, & Henry. She also leaves behind nieces, nephews, relatives at greater remove, and many good friends.

Linda was a frequent volunteer with her children’s activities, including serving as the last president of the Sudman Elementary School PTA in Allen Park. (The 1984 closing of the school is unrelated to her service.) She also served St. Cyril of Jerusalem and Our Lady of the Angels churches as a wedding coordinator and Eucharistic Minister. Linda was an avid gardener, a skilled crafter who knitted dozens of personalized Christmas stockings for family members and friends, and a frequent traveler. Her ambitious travel with Eddie was an inspiration to many, and included regular ocean voyages and trips to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Her extensive collection of angel figurines was a Christmas-season highlight.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Olive Mott, and sister Susan J. Knowles.

Visitation will be held at The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes—Allen Park Chapel on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Visitation will continue Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church, Taylor from 10:30 AM until Mass begins at 11:00 AM.
