Listen to Obituary

Linda Lou Irick, born Linda Lou Blair and affectionately known by all simply as "Granny", passed away in the early hours of Sunday, September 6, 2026 at the age of 85 while surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 25, 1941, in Pikeville, Kentucky, and will be remembered with deep love for the kindness, devotion, and warmth she shared throughout her life.

Linda was a dedicated homemaker whose life was centered on caring for the people she loved most. She devoted her whole life to making sure her husband and boys were very well taken care of, and that steadfast love became the foundation of her family. She was known as "the sweetest thing ever", a woman whose generous spirit touched everyone around her. She would give you her last dollar to make sure you had something to eat and then some, and that selfless heart defined the way she lived.

A longtime member of Woodhaven Free Will Baptist Church, Linda carried her faith with quiet constancy. Her presence in the lives of others was marked by compassion, gentleness, and an unwavering willingness to help. Of all the blessings in her life, her family was her proudest accomplishment, and she poured herself into them with endless love.

She is survived by her sons, Phil (Diana) Irick and Mark (Michelle) Irick, and by her beloved grandchildren, Jason, Andrew (Andrea), Nicholas (Shanna), Lynsey (Michael), Jeremy, Samantha (Troy), and Lance (Bree) and numerous great-grandchildren; Janie, Myles, Jaxson, Leina, Allan, Marley, Aidan, Sabra, Caeden, Hank, Kaionna, Jayce, Brylon, Aleigha, Ayden, Audrianna, and Book. She is also survived by her brother, Billy Blair. The love Linda gave so freely will continue to live on in each of them, in the memories they hold, and in the example of generosity and care she set for her family.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Irick; her father, Whetsel Blair; her mother, Hester Blair; her brother, Norman; her sister, Ann; and Carmel.

Linda Lou Irick leaves behind a legacy of tenderness, faith, and wholehearted devotion to family. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
