Linda S. Tuten

Linda Sue Tuten (née Kilgore, formerly Garnes and Sheldon), beloved mother, daughter, sister, and aunt, passed away on June 24, 2026, in Trenton, Michigan.

Born on September 3, 1956, Linda was one of four children born to Shirley Malinowski (Sheldon) and Louis Sheldon. She was one of four siblings, Sherry, Darlene, and Scott.

Linda loved connecting with people, especially her friends and family. Whether it was sharing the latest gossip or reminiscing about old memories, she always had a cup of coffee ready and the attention of anyone willing to listen. She possessed an unmatched spirit and kindness and would do anything she could for those she cared about. Her heart was always in the right place, and she was an exemplary mother figure and a genuinely compassionate person.

Throughout her life, Linda worked as a bartender, a truck driver, and a business owner. She concluded her career as a proud phlebotomist, where she also enjoyed teaching students the skills of venipuncture.

Linda Sue Tuten is survived by her son, Ryan Garnes; her stepdaughter, Mandy Tuten; her stepson, David Tuten Jr.; her sisters, Sherry Rutkowske and Darlene Sheldon; and her mother, Shirley Malinowski.

Funeral services will be held at Martenson Funeral Home, 3200 West Road, Trenton, MI 48183. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., with services starting at 1:00 p.m. A procession to the cemetery will follow. The family invites guests to join them afterward for a luncheon at JP's Waterfront.
