Please click on the tribute wall link above to view Lisa's memorial video. Lisa Marie Dial Leucht, 43, died on June 17, 2019 at her home in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 21, 2019 from 2 to 9 p.m. at Martenson Funeral Home, Allen Park, Michigan. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Lisa was born July 25, 1975 in Wyandotte, Michigan to Ramon Gomez and Gloria Portillo. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Teaching at Wayne State University and a Master of Arts in Teaching at Marygrove College. She spend 15 years as a classroom teacher and five more years as a curriculum and assessment writer. She married Jeffrey Leucht on June 21, 2007 at the Matthaei Botanical Gardens. Lisa and Jeff have four children, Trevor (19) who will begin his sophomore year at Western Michigan University in the fall, Elena (15) who will be a sophomore at Huron High School Ann Arbor, Philip (11) who will begin sixth grade at Clague Middle School, and Wheatley (5) her devoted Yorkipoo. Lisa was truly one of a kind. Everyone who knew her will remember her outgoing and friendly spirit, her desire to be in charge, and how much she loved her family. Having beaten breast cancer in 2013, Lisa lived each day to the fullest and worked hard to provide the best for her family. She refused to work out and remembered that she beat breast cancer so she could be here and enjoy the milestones in life. Lisa enjoyed supporting her kids at their sporting events, gardening, cooking, volunteering at school, and attending Michigan Football games. She represented her Mexican heritage, instilling it in her children and sharing it with many friends. Lisa always impressed with top secret family recipes for rice, guacamole, salsa, and tacos that were always a hit. She always enjoyed spending time with her immediate and extended families. In addition to her husband and children, Lisa's family includes but is not limited to (it's a big family!) her mother and father Gloria Portillo and Luis Toro, her brothers Ramon, Mario and Jose, their wives Jennifer and Andrea, their kids Reilly, Finn, Rowan, Gabriella and Amellia.
